Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
RCICs are licensed professionals with specialized knowledge of Canadian immigration programs and requirements. They’re regulated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), and can be disciplined if they don’t follow strict standards.
Unlike unlicensed or unauthorized agents, you have legal recourse if something goes wrong.
RCICs are also authorized to represent you before IRCC, with secure portal access to submit applications, track progress, and communicate with officers.
Thus, with an RCIC, you get expert guidance, legal protection, and peace of mind from start to finish.
You can verify Sumiksha Randhawa’s status anytime on the official College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants website: https://college-ic.ca. This gives you the reassurance of knowing you’re working with a legitimate and accountable professional.
Before your consultation, gather:
Details on your education
Any language test results (if taken)
Your current and past job positions (dates, duties, salary)
- Any previous IRCC applications and general immigration history
If documents aren’t on hand, having the information ready is fine. This preparation allows the session to focus on tailored advice and make the best use of your time.
Absolutely. Many clients book a consultation while exploring their options. It’s a simple way to clarify your eligibility, understand the process, and move forward with confidence when the time is right.
Your consultation fee includes a 60-minute one-on-one virtual or in-person session with RCIC Sumiksha Randhawa.
If you retain her for your application within three months of your consultation, the fee will be credited toward your application cost, making it a low-risk first step that still provides valuable insights and direction for your case.
(The fee includes all applicable taxes.)
Working with Us
Not at all. Many clients start with a consultation to explore their options before committing to full representation.
It’s a chance to ask questions, check your eligibility, and see if working together feels like the right fit.
If you move forward within three months, your consultation fee is credited toward your application. So there’s no pressure to decide immediately, but you still keep the value if you do.
That’s perfectly fine. We offer document review services if you’ve prepared your application but want a professional check before submission.
We’ll review your forms, supporting documents, and evidence to ensure they meet IRCC requirements and that nothing important is missing.
Yes we can. In this case, we review the work you’ve done, identify any gaps or errors, and continue from where you left off.
If you choose to end our representation, we’ll return your file and submit a withdrawal to IRCC.
We don’t charge fees in advance — you’re billed only after a milestone is completed. Payments for completed work are final and non-refundable.
No further fees are charged once our work together ends.
In Canada, you can pay by e-transfer (Interac), and in-person clients are welcome to pay in cash. If you’re outside Canada, we accept payments through WISE for a secure and straightforward transaction.
